Day 1: Delhi – Agra – Delhi
In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation and commence our journey to Agra. Upon arrival, we will visit the Agra Fort, an imposing structure situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. Started by Emperor Akbar, this fort became a stronghold of the Mughal Empire under subsequent rulers. Its red sandstone walls encompass an imperial city containing visionary palaces like the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan. The fort also houses audience halls such as the Dewan I Khas and two exquisite mosques.
Following this, we will proceed to visit the Taj Mahal, an iconic white marble tomb constructed between 1631 and 1648. This magnificent structure was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Please note that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.
After a captivating day in Agra, we will drive you back to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, we will drop you off at your accommodation.
